WORKOUT
Stay hydrated: Please bring a water bottle for every session in order to give the body plenty of water. We are approximately 70% water and salt, so ensure your daily water needs are met - 1L for every 25kgs of body weight. You will need to drink a further 500mLs for every 30 min session
Bring a great positive attitude and be willing to share with our team: There is nothing worse than exercise beside someone negative. We pride ourselves on a positive family oriented culture, so if you experience any negativity, please let us know and we will be happy to address in a professional matter.
Start your first few sessions with an intensity of 5 out of 10: whether you're fit or not, we recommend that your intensity is a 5 out of 10 for your first few sessions. This is because the style of training is different to what you may have been used to, and so we want to prevent you from being too sore post work out or injuring yourself. If you are sore within the next few days, the best thing you can do is come back for a session in order to breakdown the pain faster. Missing a session early on because you are sore will only delay the process of getting rid of post exercise pain
Programs: we have club programs available for free. Individual programs ask our staff for rate
SECURITY
No unauthorised entry into the fitness club without swiping access tag: no person (included authorised members, strangers, family and friends, alike) are authorised to enter the fitness club without swiping their tag. It is an offence to do so and it is an offence to allow someone to do it - penalties apply
No unauthorised entry: unless you are an authorised team member you cannot allow any non-member into the fitness club
24 hours video surveillance and emergency: the fitness club is fitted with 24 hours video/security surveillance and emergency provision
Fire Escape: I acknowledge where all the fire escapes are located
Security Alarms: I have been shown the mobile and fixed security alarms. I also understand improper use will result in a fine
GYM FLOOR
Do not drop weights: please protect our floors, benches and facilities by ensuring you gently place heavy equipment quietly, sensibly and respectfully
Do not rest weights on benches: weights, bars and equipment must not be rested on benches between sets
Return gym equipment and weights: leaving equipment and weights can be a hazard, so please return them to tier correct storage area neatly after usage - do not leave them lying around
Wear comfortable training gear: please come prepared dressed in comfortable training gear, appropriate clothing and closed footwear, and wear pleasant deodorant
Carry a towel: please bring a towel and place on seats or benches to prevent sweat on the equipment. No towel - no workout
Closed in shoes: do not walk or train with open toed shoes or barefoot - only enter gym floor with closed fitness shoes (runners). For the ladies wear a supportive bra.
No bags allowed on gym floor: Bags and personal belongings can only be stored in appropriate storage compartments - absolutely no personal belongings to be carried around and placed on gym floor as this creates an occupational hazard
Wipe equipment after yourself: we like to keep our facilities clean and fresh and we ask that you play your part in helping us here. Hope any water or sweat puddles on the floor, seats benches, and equipment immediately after use
Keep amenities and disposing storage neat and tidy: We pride ourselves in keeping our toilets and change rooms fresh, inviting and clean at all times. It is expected that if you utilise these amenities, you leave them in the fresh, inviting and clean conditions you find them like when you first entered - there is cleaning material available for you to use should you need it. Please note if you find any part of the fitness club untidy, messy, or uninviting, please advise a staff member, so that we can gladly assist
Equipment: No weight plates, dumbbells, or any equipment to be left unattended and/or left leaning against walls, mirrors or any equipment. All members and staff are required to stop training immediately until these are cleared
